Pop PHP
Community

Built in the open.

Pop is an open source project, and the conversation around it is open too. Anyone can file an issue, send a patch, or just ask a question.

Report an issue, or request a feature

Found something broken, or something missing? Both go to the same place — the issue tracker on the component it belongs to.

01 Check the component's issue tracker first — someone may already have opened it.
02 Not sure it's a bug? Talk it through on Discord before you file.
03 Open the issue under the Issues tab of that component's repo.
04 Include a clear, minimal test case. For a feature, sample code of the idea.

Contribute

Patches, new features, better docs — it all helps, and none of it needs permission first. The workflow is the standard one.

01 Fork the component's repository on GitHub.
02 Work on it locally — code, tests, or documentation all count.
03 Commit your work and push it back to your fork.
04 Send a pull request. It gets reviewed, then merged.
Open dialogue

Start the conversation.

You don't need a finished patch to take part. Open an issue to talk about what should change, or bring it to Discord first and work out what the right fix is with others. The project gets better with more collaboration.

Open since 2009, still going.

Pop has been developed in public for over a decade. Version 7 is the current line — a good moment to get involved.
